Adobe Acrobat Pro - Faculty & Staff

Adobe Acrobat Pro comes installed as standard software on all UHD owned computers. As a UHD employee you are entitled to install Adobe Acrobat on your home computer. Note that only two instances of Adobe Acrobat can be running simultaneously under your licensed UHD account.

After you download and install the software you will be asked to login. Enter your full email address (example: username@uhd.edu) as your username and choose Enterprise ID.

Azure Dev Tools for Teaching

Azure Dev Tools for Teaching is a Microsoft program that supports technical education by providing access to Microsoft software for learning, teaching, and research purposes. It is available to University of Houston-Downtown students and faculty. Some examples of the software offered include Microsoft Project and Visio, Windows Server, SQL servers, Visual Studio Professional and much more.

Microsoft Office

Office 365 allows University Faculty, Staff, and Registered Students to run Office products on up to 5 personal computers or mobile devices including PC, Mac, Android, and iPhone. Our O365 page includes instructions on how to download and install Microsoft product.

VPN Software

A VPN client will allow you to connect to your desktop computer from home and access other UHD network resources.

• Download the Palo Alto VPN (GlobalProtect)* client and follow these instructions to get it installed and configured.
• For iOS and Android, please go to your respective Store and download the GlobalProtect app for your device.
