Center for Student Advocacy & Community

The Center for Student Advocacy and Community (CSAC) works to reduce barriers that inhibit academic and personal success by identifying areas of need, providing connections to resources, and supporting student-led programs and initiatives that strengthen our community.

CSAC aspires to bolster student success for all UHD students to overcome obstacles, ignite their passions, and emerge as resilient leaders ready to make a positive impact on campus, the surrounding communities, and the global society.

The UHD Center Student Advocacy & Community serves the UHD community by leading efforts to support students on our campus and to leverage the rich campus community to the benefit of curricular and co-curricular learning opportunities for our students.

The Center provides a lounge area for meetings, presentations, creativity, or relaxation. Our private screening room has plenty of room for two to three students to take notes while screening a film, and the room is arranged to be easily accessible for students who have disabilities.

The Center offers workshops and programming in support of a variety of initiatives, provides resources and expertise for students and faculty interested in addressing their academic work, and offers advising, mentoring, and advocacy to student organizations, as well as to individual students.
