About Us
Meet the Basic Needs Center
The Basic Needs Center serves as a hub for students to connect to and access campus and community resources that address basic needs including food, finances, clothing, and emergency shelter. We provide a welcoming physical space and virtual option for students to meet with staff who are knowledgeable about food and housing insecurity and campus and community resources.
The center specializes in compassionate communication, solution-based resources and comprehensive support specifically for students currently attending the University of Houston-Downtown.
