Student Organizations Holiday Party
The University of Houston - Marilyn Davies College of Business celebrated their student
organizations on December 15th. A small reception was held on the 3rd-floor lobby
of the business college from 3:00 pm – 5:00pm. The student-run organization leadership,
their members, faculty advisors, and staff were in attendance.
Proudly celebrated was the UHD MDCOB chapters for;
- American Marketing Association (AMA)
- Financial Management Association (FMA)
- Professional Accounting Society (PAS) · International Business Association (IBA)
- Association for Latino Professionals for America (ALPHA)
The MBA Student Association was also in attendance and providing students with information and guidance on the college's Masters of Business Administration program.
"It is exciting to see the student organizations working together to uplift the UHD community," said Joshua Molina, president of the Professional Accounting Society UHD MDCOB chapter.
Dean Charles Gengler, PhD., spoke briefly, thanking students for their work and involvement with student organizations. Christine Poleski, Assistant Dean of Undergrad Academic Student support, also spoke. She emphasized connecting MDCOB organization chapters with their respected national and international networks, allowing students to improve networking skills and capabilities and make essential business connections. Dr. Carlos Gooden, Executive Director of Graduate Programs, spoke on the significance of student engagement as well as promoting the colleges' Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and Masters of Professional Accountancy (MPAC) programs.
"The Deans office wants all business student organizations to know that they support all efforts," commented Esteban Smith, president of the American Marketing Association UHD MDCOB chapter.
