Call for Applications for Partners to Incoming Inclusive Teaching Fellows AY 2025

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences invites applications from past/current Inclusive Teaching Fellows interested in serving as Partners to incoming Faculty Fellows. Partnerships will be offered based on 1) the overlap between the teaching/research projects of the applicant and the incoming Fellows and 2) the applicant’s record as a collaborative member of Inclusive Teaching Fellowship program.

Partner assignments will be based on the needs of incoming fellows, their proposed pedagogical approach, and workshop topic.

Benefits:

  1. One course release or $3200 stipend for time spent on related activities. 
  2. Opportunity to collaborate with an incoming Fellow and share teaching/research expertise to support their project
  3. Opportunity to be part of an engaged community of teacher-scholars and support CHSS’s vision of inclusive excellence.

Responsibilities:

  1. Meet with the partner Fellow 3 times in the designated semester to discuss progress and development of their project
  2. Share resources and strategies as needed to support the project
  3. Schedule a meeting of Fellows and Partners for a run-through of the partner colleague’s presentation, and discuss the feedback in a follow-up meeting
  4. Attend partner colleague’s final presentation
  5. Meet monthly with Fellows and Partners to contribute to conversations about upcoming presentations and the vision of inclusive excellence.

Application: Please respond to each of the following prompts in about 150-200 words:

  1. Statement of the applicant’s interest in serving as a partner to a Faculty Fellow.
  2. Description of the applicant’s Inclusive Teaching project.
  3. Statement of the applicant's philosophy of Inclusive Excellence.
  4. Overview of the applicant’s contributions to the Inclusive Teaching Fellowship program.

Please submit applications by January 15, 2025 for full consideration.

Applications will be reviewed by a committee of former fellows who are not applying for the partnership program themselves. The committee will make recommendations to the Dean based on qualifications and quality of the applications.
