Performance Evaluations
The University of Houston-Downtown is committed to supporting the continuous growth and development of all employees. As part of that commitment, annual staff performance evaluations are conducted to provide a periodic opportunity for communication between supervisors and employees to discuss expectations, goals and objectives of job performance and how well these are being met.
The staff performance evaluation process involves at least self-evaluation, supervisor evaluation, and second-level supervisor review, and considers an individuals' performance within a calendar year (January-December). This process assesses employees on their individual, position-specific competencies, and is a critical factor in many employment-related decisions, including annual merit determination.
Current UHD employees can learn more about the annual staff performance evaluation cycle, including training information and important deadlines, by visiting the Staff Performance Evaluations page on the HR SharePoint site (login required).
