Alpha Lambda Delta: First Year Honor SocietyAlpha Lambda Delta Honor Society celebrates the academic achievement of university
freshmen and promotes their continued growth as scholars, leaders and citizens.

Alpha Phi SigmaAlpha Phi Sigma is a national Criminal Justice Honor Society that recognizes academic
excellence of Undergraduate and Graduate students of Criminal Justice, as well as
Juris Doctorate students.

Beta Gamma SigmaMembership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a baccalaureate or post-baccalaureate (master's) program at a school accredited by AACSB International. To be eligible for membership, the academic ranking of those being considered must place them in the upper 10% of the junior or senior class (or equivalent), upper 20% of the graduating master's class, or completed all doctoral requirements.

society.

Kappa Delta Pi-Omega Phi ChapterKappa Delta Pi (KDP), International Honor Society in Education, was founded in 1911
to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to
teaching. The Omega Phi chapter at UHD offers future educators the opportunity to
serve the community, foster mutual cooperation, support, and professional growth for
educational professionals, and recognizes excellence in the field of education.

Lambda Pi EtaLambda Pi Eta is the National Honor Society for undergraduates in Communication Studies.

National Society of Collegiate ScholarsNational Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) is a nonprofit national honor society
offering membership to eligible students of all disciplines. NSCS invites students
in their first 2 years of undergraduate studies (at least 12 completed credits, but
no more than 60), providing a cohort of high-achieving students early in their collegiate
experience, and serving as an introduction into senior collegiate honor societies
(Golden Key, Psi Chi, etc.).

Phi Alpha National Social Work Honor SocietyPhi Alpha fosters high standards of education for social workers and invites into
membership those who have attained excellence in scholarship and achievement in social
work.

Phi Alpha Theta (Alpha-Nu-Upsilon)Phi Alpha Theta, History Honor Society, Inc., is a charter member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS). Membership is open to current UHD students in good academic standing with an overall GPA of 3.0 and 3.1 history GPA and at least 12 hours of History, of which no more than three hours are online or transfer classes.

Phi Kappa PhiPhi Kappa Phi recognizes and promotes academic excellence in all fields of higher
education and engages the community of scholars in service to others.

Phi Sigma TauPhi Sigma Tau is the International Honor Society in philosophy. Phi Sigma Tau provides recognition of scholarly achievement, promotes the advancement of the philosophy discipline, and publishes significant academic communications. Phi Sigma Tau also provides a means for continuation of members' philosophical education following graduation, as well as graduate and career counseling.

Pi Gamma MuPi Gamma Mu recognizes academic excellence in the fields of anthropology, criminal
justice, economics, cultural geography, history, international relations, social philosophy,
social work, sociology, political science, and psychology.

Pi Sigma AlphaPi Sigma Alpha, it is a National Political Science Honor Society. Its purpose is to recognize and promote high academic achievement in the field of political science. Undergraduates must meet the following criteria: They must have completed at least one-half the credits required by their institution for the baccalaureate degree; they must have completed at least ten semester-credits (or 15 quarter-credits if their institution is on the quarter system) of work in political science including at least one upper-division course, with an average grade of B or higher in those courses; they must have achieved an overall GPA placing them in the top one-third of their whole class (e.g., junior or senior class). They need not be political science majors to qualify for membership. |

Psi ChiPsi Chi is a national honor society that serves to encourage, stimulate, and promote
excellence in scholarship, and to advance the science of psychology. The organization
has chapters at over 1,000 senior colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada.

Sigma Alpha Pi - The National Society of Leadership and SuccessThe Society is an organization that helps people discover and achieve their goals.
The Society offers life-changing lectures from the nation's leading presenters and
a community where like-minded, success-oriented individuals come together and help
one another succeed. The Society also serves as a powerful force of good in the greater
community by encouraging and organizing action to better the world.

Sigma Delta PiSigma Delta Pi is a National Hispanic Honor Society. Membership is open to UHD students that have a minimum 3.0 GPA in Spanish classes with a minimum overall GPA of 3.2 at UHD, enrolled in third-year upper-level Spanish classes, and have taken an upper-level literature class in Spanish or an upper-level culture class in Spanish. |

Sigma Tau DeltaUHD chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, brings together students with an interest in literature, culture, and intellectual camaraderie. Students inducted into the English honors society connect with other writers, readers, theorists, and critical thinkers to foster a vibrant culture of literacy on campus. Membership is open to current UHD students majoring or minoring in the discipline
of English that have a minimum of 2 college courses in English language or literature
beyond the usual requirements in freshman English, have a B or equivalent average
in English, rank in the highest 35% of his/her class in general scholarship, and have
completed at least 3 semesters or 5 quarters of college course work. |

Tau SigmaTau Sigma is a national honor society designed exclusively for transfer students. The organization’s mission is to "recognize and promote the academic excellence and involvement of transfers students." Tau Sigma provides its members opportunities to earn scholarships, attend conferences, take leadership positions, and serve others, all while developing connections and becoming a more integral part of the university. Membership is open to incoming transfer students registered in a course of study leading to a bachelor's degree for an amount of work equal to an average full load, with a minimum 3.5 first semester UHD GPA.
