About the Blog on Generative AI & Higher Ed
Over the last two semesters, as a Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE) teaching fellow and as lead member of a CTLE teaching circle, I have educated myself about generative AI (GAI) and its implications for higher education, especially the humanities. I have surveyed a range of materials by educators, tech experts, journalists, digital humanities scholars, and pollsters. My idea in putting together a blog on higher education and GAI is to share my exploratory journey with the wider UHD community. I write not as an expert but as a learner. I have incorporated links to my sources for those who wish to investigate further. In addition, the blog's SharePoint site offers a feedback option so that you can weigh in if you wish and/or recommend resources. You are welcome to reply. About Dr. Theresa Case
Theresa Case has taught at UHD since 2002, after completing her Ph.D. at the University of Texas at Austin and an editorial internship with the Texas State Historical Association. While at UHD, Dr. Case has served as history coordinator and assistant chair, organized student research conferences, developed University seminar courses and history courses, and led student success initiatives. Her research area is late nineteenth-century and early-twentieth century US, especially social and cultural history.
