Student Introductions
Student Introductions Story Boards
Learning Continuity Alignment:
LC 2: Normalize Digital Learning
Introduce and normalize use of the LMS and key digital learning tools.
QM1.9:
Learners are asked to introduce themselves to the class.
Overview
It is of utmost importance to have a comprehensive guide for self-introductions in asynchronous online courses. Learners will create their own biographical storyboard post-instructor engagement with self-introduction materials. To accomplish this, students will need to consider three prompts:
- Personal Introduction: Students are tasked with presenting themselves or an alter-ego, highlighting their
extracurricular commitments.
- Motivation for Subject: They will articulate their motivations for enrolling in the course, shedding light
on the driving forces behind their study.
- Course Inquiries: In this step, students will formulate their primary questions or concerns related to the course.
Moreover, this exercise provides a guide for the instructor’s self-introduction video, a condensed biographical statement, and a biographical storyboard.
